Lee

Lee remained on the low wall of the garden for the rest of the night, barely moving a muscle as she did the closest thing to meditating as she could, given her current state. It was only when the first rays of the sun came dangerously close to burning her that she finally roleld off the wall and stepped into the library, making her way to her room. Sleep was instantaneous once she hit the bed, The nightmares just as quick to come over her. It was the same, every night, though it seemed to get worse.

It began in India, With The shotgun blast from Merriweather's gun, the bullet going immediately into her stomach. Merri, her sister, choosing to harm her rather then save the locals who'd always been so kind...merri, who just looked at her on the ground, dying, with no remorse on her face asshe talked of what trouble she'd been. There was darkness, then there was Tommy.... what was once her entire nightmare had now become only a short introduction, the majority of her day now spent remembering visions of hell, the words of the mad twins sentencing her to an eternity of pain and suffering, herp lace in the universe as the Bride of Satan... a satan she hardly believed in, yet knew with a certainty would marry her, beinging her to a lifetime of burning damnation where all those she cared for her turned away or burned. The end of her dream was a rich shade of red, a shade that stayed with her vision as she woke suddently from the dream, the dream refusing to fade tonight as it normally did.

Through a crimson haze she surveyed her room in a panic, the site of flames licking at the corners of furniture without burning her giving her chills. it took seconds to find clothes, minutes to race out of the house and into the air, air which was hot and felt to burn skin.Absently she wandered the grounds before she found heself moving towards the ruined temple. Through the waking nightmare's haze it looked more rundown then it was, decaying in away marble doesn't, icy hot to the touch of her palm. Still, ruins were one thing she could handle, no matter what her eyes told her she could see the Friezes on the wall, beginning to crumble. She could see the statues honoring Hecate as well as Nyx, alters to both. Using her fingers, she began a task that would take time even with the proper tools, a task made more personal as she began to brush dust away delicately with her fingers, cringing occasionally as she saw things move around her, shadows turn red, flames lick up. The night went too quickly, engrossed as she was in the small building...she knew once the house had stopped burning she'd return for her kit, and find the secrets to the temple.

She knew, of course, there was nothing wrong with the house. She knew... well, was fairly sure, at least, the shadows here really weren't moving. She knew nothing was burning, and nothing was hot. She knew her nightmare had woken with her... yet she knew it made her unsuitable for contact with others, human, or otherwise. She needed t obe along, with her demons, her nightmares, her neverending flames, and her thoughts on those around her. Nothing made sense... the blood hunt, the thoughts on Tieh, the idea of killing Enesco. How did they all handle it so calmly? was it a test? was she passing? or failing miserably?

She didn't like it, and she'd handle no task for this Stephan... Tieh was not her responsibility. None of it was. She'd done her bit, and even that had earned her the deathwish of the Camarilla. The fate of a Lasombra was not her job, nor would she decide it...Even if it turned her into an indecisive Brujah.

It was almost morning once she looked up to the statue of Hecate, Goddess of Shadows. with the careful manipulations, Lee had cleared all the debris and dust from each small crevice of the statue, bringing it back to its hellenic glory, at the costs of her manicure. It was too late to return to the house, too late to know if the burn she felt was her flames or the kiss of the Sun. instead, she became a guest of Hecate, finding the small room in the back to be free of outdoor exposure and curled up on the marble floor. She knew once the sun hit fully, she'd sleep... and the nightmare would begin again.
